Now do your part and report any bugs or deficiencies here. No guarantees, but if we don't report problems they won't get much of a chance. Whether you’re setting up multiple computers or doing a full backup, cloning hard drives is a common maintenance task. Don’t bother burning a new boot CD or paying for new software – you can do it easily with your Ubuntu Live CD. Aug 05, 2014 Installing Atmel SAM-BA on Ubuntu 14.04 Playing with a SAMA5D3 XPLAINED board and want to setup the ATMEL SAM-BA tool so I can update the linux version. The following steps are taking from this pdf link and this link.
dfu-programmer-x.x.x.tar.gz contains the source tree for this project. Download this to build and install on a Linux/Unix/Mac system. dfu-programmer-win-x.x.x.zip contains the pre-compiled Windows executable and the USB drivers for use with Atmel chips in DFU bootloader mode. The Windows executable does not need any installation or setup. Just extract the executable and run it. The Windows driver can be installed when prompted by Windows when a DFU device is attached. Do not let Windows search for a driver; specify the path to search for a driver and point it to the .inf file.I need a new Linux laptop, and the ASUS Zenbook Flip (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenBook-Flip-UX360CA-DBM2T-13-3/dp/B01GHQOD8U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472690999&sr=8-1&keywords=zenbook+flip) seems to fit my needs. Are there any foreseeable compatibility issues with installing Linux (Trisquel, Ubunut, Arch, or something...) on it? I initially thought the touch screen might not work great, but I heard that Unity was actually designed with touch screens in mind, and I don't need high-level touch screen functionality - for this, I'd mostly be scrolling through .pdfs, simple stuff like that.
The other thing I'm concerned about is the Core M processor. Will all programs work on this architecture? I need to run Emacs, R, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Python, QGIS, and others. I've read that not all programs will compile on ARM architectures (and Rockchips?), so I suspected similar problems with the Core M.

I'll mostly be using the laptop for testing and connecting to a cluster and high performance computing center. I have horsepower available elsewhere, so I don't need amazing performance here. I'd be open to other options, but I need something that's very thin, light, has great battery life, SSD, 1080p screen, and least 13', and under $800 (preferably). I do have to say that I am intrigued by the 360 capability of the Zenbook Flip, but the LG Gram looks like it could work too.
